May payo si Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Secretary Joel Villanueva sa mga bagong nagtapos sa high school at papasok na sa kolehiyo.
Ayon kay Sec. Villanueva, dapat maging matalino at pagaaralang mabuti ang pipiliing kurso, partikular na dapat isalang-alang ang employability pagkatapos ng kolehiyo.
“Sa TESDA, may choice ka,“ pahayag Sec. Villanueva at binanggit na maraming kurso ang alok ng ahensiya para madaling makapasok ng trabaho. “Marami tayong technical at vocational courses para madaling makahanap ng trabaho o magkapagsimula ng negosyo.“
Gayunman, binigyang-diin ni Villanueva na hindi niya sinasabi na iwasang kumuha ng apat na taong kurso sa kolehiyo kundi makabubuting iwasan ang oversubscribed courses o mga kursong napakarami nang nagtapos ngunit walang napapasukang trabaho.
“Instead of enrolling in oversubscribed degree courses, they can take up technical-vocational programs though I am not forcing nor pressuring them to take tech-voc courses,“ diin ni Villanueva.
Inilista ng Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) na oversubscribed ang teacher education, business administration, nursing, hotel and restaurant management at information technology.
