ROME (AP) – Kapwa naniniwala sina Roger Federer at Andy Murray na walang magiging problema kung mayroong manlalaro sa men’s tennis na aamin na siya ay bakla.
Tinanong ang second at thirdranked players noong Linggo sa Italian Open tungkol sa posibilidad na mangyari ito matapos na lumabas ang beterano ng NBA na si Jason Collins tungkol sa kanyang sekswalidad.
Si Collins ang unang aktibong manlalaro mula sa apat na major U.S. professional sports league na inihayag ang kanyang tunay na damdamin.
‘’I don’t think it would be a problem,’’ lahad ni Federer. ‘’We’re very relaxed. We don’t play a team sport and see each other all the time. We’re very open. So whatever happens, happens. I don’t know if there are any. So far from what I’ve heard, no. But that could change, possibly because of the case in the NBA.’’
