Caligdong, nominado sa AFF Awards

Ilan sa mga miyembro ng Philippine national men's football team ang napiling nominado para sa idaraos na unang ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Awards.

Ang kapitan ng Azkals na si Chieffy Caligdong ang napili bilang isa sa mga AFF Player of the Year nominees kasama nina Teerasil Dangda ng Thailand, Shahril Ishak ng Singapore at Kyi Lin ng Myanmar para sa nasabing award-giving body na magbibigay pagkilala sa mga itinuturing na pinakamahuhusay sa Southeast Asian football scene.



Nakakuha din ng nominasyon si Azkals coach Hans Michael Weiss para sa AFF Coach of the Year award kung saan ay nakatunggali niya sina Radojko Avramovic ng Singapore, Winfried Schaefer ng Thailand at Datuk K. Rajagopal ng Malaysia.

Kasama din ang buong koponan ng Azkals sa mga nominado bilang AFF National Team of the Year, kung saan makakalaban nila ang kapwa 2012 Suzuki Cup semifinalists Singapore, Thailand at Malaysia.

Nasa listahan din ng mga nominado ang Philippine Football Federation, kasama ng ilan pang football associations ng rehiyon para naman sa AFF Association of the Year award.
