Eleksiyon sa PVF, napapanahon na

Paiimbestigahan ng ilang board member ng Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF) sa Philippine Olympic Committee ang Constitution and By-Laws n asosasyon upang maisagaw na ang matagal na hinihintay na eleksiyon para pagbabago ng liderato sa volleyball.



Ayon kay Dr. Adrian Laurel, na unang inalis sa asosasyon kasama ang secretary general na si Virginia De Jesus dahil sa pagbubuo ng women’s national team, na ipapasa nila ang sulat kay POC first vice-president at membership committee chairman Jose “Joey” Romasanta upang hilingin ang mandato sa termino ng pamunuan ng volleyball.

“Yes, we will request the POC to look into the term of office of the board of the PVF. We believe that the constitution hasn’t been amended and two years pa din ang naka-stipulate sa constitution,” sabi ng PVF Board member at dating miyembro ng UST volleyball team na si Laurel.

Nabunyag na mayroong dalawang Constitution and ByLaws ang PVF na ang isa ay ang dati nitong sinusunod na naglalaman na dalawang taon lamang ang termino ng mga opisyales na sertipikado ng Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) habang ang isa ay nagsasaad na apat na taon ang termino ng mga opisyal bagaman hindi ito sertipikado ng SEC.

Inamin naman ni De Jesus na nagkaroon ng dalawang Constitution and By-Laws ang PVF matapos na kanilang amyendahan ang una subalit agad na ipinasa ng bagong pamunuan sa POC na hindi muna dumaan sa SEC upang sertipikahan.

“Based on our old Constitution, we have 10 board members that will elect officials every 2 years. It was amended to 4 years with 15 board members pero ipinasa sa POC without certification from SEC. We last elected our set of officers 2010 so I think long overdue na ang dapat maganap na eleksiyon,” sabi ni De Jesus.
