Ang pagsibak ay isinagawa ni Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) OIC Senior Supt. Celestino Guara Jr. matapos maaktuhan si Senior Inspector Edfil Balibadlan, hepe ng Pulupandan Police Station, at tatlong tauhan nito na nagsilsilbing bodyguard ni Pulupandan Mayor Magdaleno “Magsy” Peña nang magtungo ito sa kapitolyo ng lalawigan noong Lunes ng umaga.
Simula kahapon ipinatupad ang relieve order na may may clearance batay sa pahintulot ng Commission on Election (Comelec) Region 6 at ni Chief Supt. Agremiro Cruz Jr., director ng Police Regional Office 6.
Lumalabas na sinamahan ng mga pulis si Mayor Peña matapos nitong hamunin ng debate at boksing sina Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. at si Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Jose Maria Valencia kaugnay sa umiinit na iringan sa politika sa lalawigan. – Fer Taboy
