Mawawala sa bansa ang may P3.6 billion halaga ng remittance kung magpapatuloy ang “hiring freeze” ng Taiwan sa mga overseas Filipino worker (OFW) ngayong Hulyo, ayon sa recruitment industry.
Sa panayam nitong Sabado, sinabi ni Philippine Manpower Agencies Accredited to Taiwan (PILMAT) President Angelo Tong na katumbas ng nasabing halaga ang kabuuang remittance na ipapadala ng may 10,000 OFW na apektado ng hiring freeze ng Taiwan sa susunod na tatlong taon. – Samuel P. Medenilla
