Naghain ng P3-billion plunder case ang Sanlakas party list group laban kay dating Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (GMA) at kanyang anak na si Camarines Sur Rep. Dato Arroyo dahil sa umano’y pagkakasangkot sa ghost infrastructure projects sa lalawigan.
Base reklamong isinumite sa Office of the Ombudsman, sinabi ng abogado ng grupo na si Argee Guevarra na ang umano’y mga ghost project ay kinabibilangan ng isang skybridge, dam, reforestration at irrigation system.
Sinabi ni Guevarra na ang mga proyekto ay birthday gift umano ni GMA kay Dato sa ika-34 kaarawan nito noong Setyembre 2008.
Aniya, dapat na magdurugtong ang tulay sa Libmanan sa distrito ni Dato sa Camanan, isa pang congressional district, upang mapaikli ang oras ng biyahe sa Naga City.
“The project commenced without any real consultation with affected communities with incredible speed in the release of the funds, without any of the projects being completed within the time frame declared by Malacanang for their completion,“ sinabi ni Guevarra.
Sinabi pa ni Guevarra na tiniyak ng Malacañang na matatapos ang proyekto sa loob ng 18 buwan, bago ang 2010 elections.
“The project was a scam all along, designed to ensure that any release of funds for the project will be liquidated in the form of 30 percent commission to bankroll Arroyo’s 2010 congressional bid,“ giit ni Guevarra.
Nang inspek siyunin ni Guevarra ang lugar na dapat na pagtatayuan ng tulay, wala itong nakitang ano mang uri ng imprastraktura.
