HIRING OF PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS NOW PRIORITIZES QUALIFIED LOCAL RESIDENTS

Ipinalabas kamakailan ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang DepEd Order No. 3 series of 2013, ang Amended Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 8190, “An Act Granting Priority to Residents of the Barangay, Municipality, or city where the School is Located, in the Appointment or Assignment of Classroom Public School Teachers”.



Nakatadhana sa naturang Order na ito ay para sa pagtatalaga ng mga guro sa lahat ng public elementary at secondary school at iba ang learning center sa ilalim ng DepEd, at mga aplikanteng nakatira sa komunidad kung saan naroon ang eskuwelahan ang bibigyan ng prayoridad sa hiring, ngunit kailangang taglay nila ang lahat ng kuwalipikasyon para sa posisyon na nakalista sa DepEd Order No. 12 series of 2012.


Ang mga kuwalipikadong aplikante ay yaong may valid professional teacher’s license at lapat sa evaluation at selection criteria ng Schools Division Superintendent, na may over-all score na 50 points o higit pa. Susuriin ang mga aplikante gamit ang criteria na: education (25 points), taching experience (10 points), Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET)/Professional Board Examination for Teachers (PBET) rating (10 points), Experimental Learning Course (5 points), interview (10 points), demonstration teaching (20 points), at communication skills (15 points), sa kabuuang 100 points.


Ang mga interesadong aplikante ay maghahain ng kailanilang written application na suportado ng mga kinakailangang dokumento sa school head concerned na susuri sa completeness, veracity, accuracy at authenticity ng lahat ng dokumento pati na ang proof of residency. Ipadadala ng school head ang application sa Schools Division Superintendent na humahawak ng isang rehistro ng kuwalipikadong aplikante. Ang registy ay valid sa loob ng isang taon.
